Level IIIA Body Armor
RMA’s level IIIA body armor plates (model #0226) are made from press-hardened polyethylene in our Centerville, IA factory. These thin multi-curve plates defeat high velocity handgun munitions from common calibers such as 9mm, 40 S&W, and also 45 ACP. But, it weighs less than a pound (.88lbs). These level 3A plates are also waterproof, extremely tough and will never break down with exposure to the elements. These 10×12 level IIIA body armor inserts can also be worn in a variety of carriers. Additionally, use them discreetly in vests, ballistic shirts, and backpacks. Among several, the 0226 is also one of RMA’s most versatile lines of protection. Since 80% of firearm homicides are committed with handguns, the 0226 is the best of all worlds. It maximizes protection against the most common ballistic threats while also minimizes weight and thickness. Additionally, it will work with most carriers on the market.
Level IIIA Plate Carrier Compatibility
As a 10″x12″ multi-curve, Level 3A hard armor plate, the RMA 0226 will also fit into a majority of plate carriers. 3A plates also fit well in backpacks to provide discreet protection at school, work, or wherever you may be. We recommend the RMA concealable plate carrier for this lightweight armor plate, but there are also others that will work well:
