Most popular rifle mag pouches hold two m4 magazines in a single pouch, like the Condor single m4 open top mag pouch. Other magazine holders can hold a variety of rifle mags, like the Scorpion Rifle Mag Pouch, which can hold m4, AK or .308 magazines.

How to Attach Mag Pouches to a Plate Carrier

Mag pouches attach to your plate carrier for easy access to your equipment. Each MOLLE pouch has two straps on the rear of the pouch, which thread through the MOLLE on your plate carrier and are fastened down.

When setting up your plate carrier, it’s important to keep in mind that you don’t want to obstruct access to your holster or IFAK. You also do not want to stack too many mag pouches on top of one another as they can obstruct the functionality of your loadout.
