The short story is this is probably the best female specific armor and carrier readily available. The fit is good on my 5’2 wife of small build. I was disappointed to find RMA does not offer female plates in their new lightweight level 4 configuration and per their rep do not plan to further develop the female armor system. We settled on the super lightweight level 3A+ plates that seem to work well against pistol threats and ball rifle ammo but won’t protect against penetrators or AP. The carrier is well made but needs upgrades to be brought up to speed. There is not Velcro across all of the front of the carrier and additional Velcro needs to be stitched on to give more purchase for a fully loaded mag placard to stay properly attached. Also the cumberbund does not have a quick release tube system so we had to replace it with a aftermarket model. Further the cumberbund is a shock cord rear type like on JPC rather than a more modern Velcro type that has become industry standard (like Ferro Concepts). We like the product but it could definitely be updated as a generation 2 and be a better out of the box item. Further my wife is a medic and we found it difficult to find enough real estate to get her a basic load of primary weapon ammo, secondary weapon ammo, her full bleeder and airway kits, a combat stretcher, water and utility pouch. Not really fault on the carrier but the nature of trying to get a lot of gear on a small person. Overall happy with it after stated improvements and modifications and recommend it to any small framed woman needing a armor solution. Just understand you will probably have to invest more time, money, and frustration getting it set up just right as out of the box it is not deployment ready.

I LOVE this whole kit. It is actually more comfortable to wear it than not. Easy to move in. I added plenty of mag business on the front. No trouble!
