RMA’s Level III body armor plate (model #1078) is NIJ .06 Certified and also specifically designed for those who need maximum protection and mobility at a low cost. Additionally, the 1078 Level III body armor plate is engineered to be positively buoyant. Plus, it weighs just 3 pounds. This lightweight level III body armor plate will defeat multiple 7.62×51 FMJ, M193, 7.62x39MSC, 5.56 FMJ, and also handgun munitions. However, Level III does not defeat armor-piercing threats. Instead, we recommend our Level IV products if you are facing Level IV threats.
This Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) Level III body armor plate is also designed and manufactured at our Centerville, Iowa factory.
